Thomas Gresham Subject Of Customer Disputes
Thomas Gresham is a stockbroker currently registered with Moloney Securities Co., Inc in Overland Park, Kansas. Between 2001 and 2015, FINRA’s BrokerCheck records show that he was been the subject of fourteen customer disputes.
On July 10, 2015, five disputes were filed against Gresham, in which he was alleged to have made unsuitable recommendations, breached fiduciary duties, breached the Kansas Securities Act, and to have been unjustly enriched. The cases settled for $105,000, $335,000, $110,00, $62,000, and $43,000.
On November 19, 2014, a customer complained about market losses occurring the fourth quarter of 2014 from investments in the energy sector. The customer sought damages totaling $150,000. The case settled for $55,000.
On June 11, 2014 and May 15, 2014, customers alleged that Thomas Gresham engaged in excessive and unsuitable trading. Both of the cases settled for $33,000.
On May 3, 2012, Gresham was discharged by UBS Financial Services, Inc. According to the allegations, his managers lost confidence in his willingness to abide by the firm’s order entry policies because he mismarked solicited trades and unsolicited after previous discipline for exercising discretion and he did not give satisfactory answers in connection with the firm’s review of the mismarking.
On September 13, 2010, clients alleged that the managed programs they were enrolled in did not correspond with the stated investment objectives and that their portfolios were not diversified. The case settled for $160,000.
